If I could run it safely for even 12,000 miles my life would become very easy. Anybody here that uses this oil?

I have used this oil an consider it to be an excellent choice, but certainly prefer a 5 k interval in sludge prone Toyota.
I do 5000 mile changes in my VWs and would never push them to the recommended 10,000. Just me.

I agree completely. There is nothing wrong with this product. I'm sure it is an excellent oil, if not one of the best out there. But I would use it's claim of lasting 25,000 miles, only as a testimony to its quality. But I would certainly never push it that far, just because the printing on the jug says you can.

the verbiage doesn't make sense (between) oil changes, 25k Guaranteed what's the fine print? Anyway even if the oil is capable ask yourself..
1- does Toyota recommend 25k OCI's
2- how comfortable are you going the distance of a 25k OCI?

The oil molecules may last 25k, but I doubt that the protective additives (detergents, corrosion inhibitors, etc.) will survive that long. Plus, the filter can only remove solids, not fuel contamination.

You could pay for UOA’s along the way to find its limit in your vehicle.
Here is the thing I don't understand. I think Blackstone charges 40 dollars for an UOA. Why not just change your oil more frequently and use the 40 bucks towards that. Again, I will never understand spending a good chunk of change on a car and trying to stretch an oil change out.

Let's just say you put 12 to 15,000 miles on the car year. Just do 2 oil changes. All of my stuff but the Malibu gets a change every 5000 miles. The Malibu gets it every 4000 (Turbo/DI). If I pick the stuff up to do it at AutoZone it is about 48 dollars for 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a M1 filter. I have two vehicles that take 8 quarts, and I still think it is worth it.

If you have a car that has known issues, have a new to you used car, run a fleet or service heavy equipment, I can see getting it done. Maybe. But on a car that is your daily and you know the history I feel like you can use that 40 dollars to just change your oil.

I agree 100%. But that’s the way to correctly extend oci’s.

Advance Auto Part always has bundle deals. Buy 5 qts and get a filter for free plus $5.00 Perks point off your next purchase. I can buy Pennzoil Platinum (or Mobil 1 or Valvoline or Castrol or ..) for $37.00 + free filter (Fram, K&N, Mobil 1, etc.) - $5.00 = $32.00 plus tax.
This, plus I can recycle my oil while I'm there makes it one stop shopping at a price just as good, or better, than Walmart.

3K for me so it's super tech or Kirkland now. My driving is considered very severe because of my short hauls and a lot of fuel dilution. Never been tested but my nose only sometimes lies. A good vintage year! Will always bring me back for more.

No way I push it to 25k. But if a claim is that high I thought 12k should be no problem for it.
