Castrol Transmax ATF/CVT

This must be the most universal of all ATF’s I’ve ever seen. I thought most CVT fluids were exclusive to CVT transmissions for obvious design differences.

Available at Walmart.

yes. but until it gets locked it’s time to complain about multi vehicle fluid

I use Castrol IMV in my 03'Matrix, but will always use OEM CVT fluid if I'm ever forced to buy a car with a CVT.

I’m using it in an impala and it’s working quite well.

I like generic universal fluids, but I don't think I'd use the ATF/CVT combo at this time

I do like Castrol's full synthetic ATF as well as their CVT fluid

I was also surprised to see this fluid in Walmart.....I had always assumed that CVT fluids were different than regular ATF's and there was no way a fluid could be spec'd for both.
Why were those previous threads locked?
