Saw the coolant level drop over the OCI and attributed it to the cooler weather we've been having... I might've been wrong again. The head gasket was replaced at 30068 miles; there have been three relatively OCI's in an attempt to flush out the remnants of the coolant before this longer one with M02 vintage GC.

Bummer. Well you are good for another engine gasket repair for free.

Geeze louise! this is why I cruise the UOA forum, so I can see which engines are coolant leakers and NOT BUY THEM! It looks like Nissan can't build them right and the dealers can't replace them right either. My dad's sentra headgasket was replaced at 55k miles. I added's bar's leak golden seal to my dad's 03 sentra at 72k miles two months ago. I've had success with the product on another car. But your still under the 5 yr/60k powertrain warranty, make them replace it again.

What--- head gasket problems on a nipponeese car on this board. I cant beleive it. reading this board made me beleive that only GMs had problems. Sorry couldnt resist. I hope you get it resolved quickly.

Has there been any talk on any of the Nissan sites about what the problem is? Does Nissan have poor gaskets or is the head not made correctly? If it is the gaskets, where can you get a good gasket to correct the problem? I have a 2003 Sentra and it's a shame they have these head gasket problems because the rest of the engine, and the rest of the car for that matter, is a good quality economy car. I have 143K on mine and I haven't had the gasket replaced yet. I've used Barr's Leak (for the past 23K miles) when I noticed my antifreeze level dropping a little bit. It appears to have stopped the leak or vastly slowed it down. It's just a shame, the engine sounds great and uses no oil with 143K miles on it...it's just all these darn head gasket leaks I see on here that freaks me out.

The Service Advisor at my dealer told me the QG18DE are problem free. The QR25DE are the problem ones, yeah right! He needs to log onto this site and B15sentra.
