Castrol filters @ Amazon

I suppose one could assume that they did their job. Wear was low, particle count is aver or below. One would assume that if they’re not filtering properly then wear numbers would be high. At least in my thoughts.
Oh so you did particle counts? Sorry I guess I assumed you didn't, my fault.

What's the definition of a particle count that is average or below for an ICE? Are you talking an ISO 4406 PC, or you talking ppm of Fe in a UOA?

Interesting. Baseplate looks like a Fram? They have the CAS7317 for my Hondas so I might buy one for grins if for no other reason than I like the matte black can.
I just received mine from Amazon.

Confirmed it's a Champ-made plastic-caged E-core. Silicone ADBV. Filter media is paper, presumably synthetic since it is advertised as such. Made in the USA.

Got pics? I would like to see the center core and backside of the filter media. It sounds like it may be a rebranded Champ XL filter.

Interesting. Without seeing internals, construction reads as similar to the newer Champ made ACDelco PF64 filter with hybrid design. Nylon cage with (speculation) metal endcaps, but in this case silicone adbv in place of nitrile. Current ST9688 same construction as ACD. Be interesting to see internals to confirm.

At the price point in OP, compared to other equivalent 20k rated/extended oci OFs, wouldn't be of interest to me.

There's not much to see beyond what I described but I guess I could snap a few pics if you want.

I would assume the same but Champ apparently doesn't have an XL in the 7317 size, only the 2867 which is a tad shorter.

The filter feels a bit on the lighter side. Not sure what that tells you about its construction but it definitely does not have the satisfying weight of a Royal Purple or Distance Plus.

The ones at the Service champ website say 99.9% at 25 microns.
