Castrol Edge Question

Looking for some opinions on Castrol Edge with Syntec. How does it rate among other big name syns? Anyone have experience running this oil? Daily drivers preffered. Thanks.

1. My choice is between Valvoline SynPower & Mobil 1. Castrol is a few bucks cheaper on sale.

It is as good as any synthetic, better than some and worse then some, just depends on what you are comparing it to. As for use, I have used in a Nissan for 5-8K at a time with no issues, motor always ran smooth.

Hard to go wrong with the Castrol products these days.

Just put this oil in my uncle's 06 Accord VP. Running very nicely. So no red flags or complaints. I actually think it runs better on this than PU but it is just an opinion and is not an extreme difference, but a difference nonetheless.


PS I am a firm believer of the "right oil for your car, case in point. My '10 Civic runs outstandingly better with Mobil 1 Extended Performance while my Nissan altima runs rougher. I am sure they are getting the same protection but Castrol products seem to run the best so far in my Alt.

So back to the Edge w/ syntec, Good so far, much more transparent PDS than Edge FST. (Mobil has the best PDSs)
