Here is a VOA of the current formulation of Castrol Edge Euro 0w-30 A3/B4. This was purchased at Oreillys Auto Parts and is date coded Y24283. It is API SL, BMW LL-01, MB 229.5, VW 502/505 and made is the USA.

@edyvw I believe this is the same version of the UOA you submitted back in the summer. I think this confirms Blackstone Labs made some errors especially with P and Zinc.

Thanx.
Yeah. It was obvious they made a mistake. Ain't no way P was that low, especially being API SL.

I've added it to the VOA Database. Thank you for submitting the report!

BTW, your report mostly matches with another recent report submitted here:

Yes, I noticed that too. I wasn’t sure if they changed anything after his Made in Begium sample, but apparently they are the same.

Thanks for adding it to the database!

I suppose this post is a delayed reaction, but I’ve used the older versions of this oil in my Turbo EJ25 Subaru (2007 Outback XT stick shift) for years, with great results. (admittedly anecdotal) I thought it performed quite well, being a “thick” 30 grade at 100C while also being a 0w. Not too thick, not too thin. I sold the car 2 weeks ago (😢😢) Reading above, I wish I had kept the oil change worth (5 qts) of this new version instead of including it in the sale of the vehicle. It would probably still be awesome in my replacement Subaru (6 cyl, not DI, not turbo). That “new” one (2013 3.6) does want SM (or SN) instead of SL, but not sure if that is a problem. I told the buyer of the 2007 to consider Mobil 1 ESP after using up the Castrol Euro for next change. He seemed to think ROTM Mobil 1 5w30 was good enough. Wouldn’t be my 1st choice, but that’s his problem now. He got a GREAT deal, IMHO.
