Castrol Edge 5W-30 Shelf Life

In order to take advantage of the rebates/coupons available to us, I would like to stock up on Castrol Edge 5w30. I have searched their product data sheets with no success.

Does anybody know what the shelf life of unopened motor oil would be? I plan to store it in a garage/room during the winter months.

I've heard 5 years but I personally think it would be fine even past that...

please dont buy enough oil to last you 5 years! They may not even allow people to drive non electric cars by then!

The answer. A LONG TIME. You'll be fine. I don't think anyone needs to stock up on 5 years worth of motor oil.
