Looks solid....

I'm using Mobil 1 Extended Performance now, which I think is a solid oil, but this add pack looks really nice. I know it is more expensive than EP, but possibly worth it in my book, and definitely easier to find right now, at least by me.

I think this is easily a 10k oil in my Mazda3, after knowing EP will go at least 8k.

Might be worth trying!

What makes you think the Castrol will go 10,000 miles?

Yes the price is high. But the additive pack seen here is to die for.

Is Mobil 1 the only other over the counter oil with an additive package like this?

Are there any conventional/blends that come close or are additive packs like this impossible to put into regular oil?

The stout add pack..EP will go 8k in this engine easy, and Amsoil ASM will go 10k no problem. I think this oil will play with Amsoil.

I have not seen that here. Only 5w30 and 10w30. Maybe those will only be on your side of the World.

I am going to go to 5w30 Castrol Edge with my next oil change. I have been showing some wear (Lead around 19 ppm) with Mobil 1 lately (118,000 miles on a 1998 Corvette). I will then do a Blackstone UOA and compare. 8 times less wear ? We shall see.

The Edge claims 8x better in the Seq IVA test, which is for camshafts. You may not see a decrease in lead since lead comes from bearings, but you will probably see a significant degrease in iron.
