I just picked up a new to me 2003 Lincoln Town Car. Was advertised as having a fresh oil change.
Noticed the filter was a carquest red, which is purolator made apparently, and since I've sworn off of all MC and Purolator oil filters, I replaced it with a Hastings LF110 that I had laying around.
Provided the seller was telling the truth (and I have no reason to suspect they were lying about the oil service, there was a reminder sticker on the windshield and the filter looked brand new), then this filter only has about 500km's yes five-hundred kms on it.
Pretty abysmal if you ask me.
