Off a 2014 F150 3.5l ecoboost 94,200 miles

4,200 miles on filter, Mobil Super synthetic 10w30.

No tears noticed, adbv held oil in can.

Replaced with a carquest blue 84502 & Mobil Super synthetic 10w30.

These filters work fine for me, usually a 5k OCI, I've noticed less startup rattle with these than the motorcraft Fl500s.

Is that a silicone ADBV?

The only time I had timing chain rattle was with a cheap Luberfiner filter. Never has a problem with fl500s.

I believe it’s a nitrile valve. My truck has startup rattle, sometimes it won’t rattle even after sitting for 2 weeks with old oil. Sometimes it rattles with fresh oil and the Fl500s. It has been very random, truck lives in south FL so no really cold starts, just seems to do more with the motorcraft Vs Supertech & Carquest.

Nah, CQ reds only have hard as a rock nitrile adbv

Looks ok to me, like it got the job done. Pleat wave an aesthetics thing, no effect on function. Based on comments, apparently nitrile adbv also worked well.
