The left is probably old stock purolator made. The other two are basically the same filter. The base gasket doesn’t have to be siliconeWell, just bought 5 of these and within my batch received 3 distinctly different filters
From left to right:
-USA made, taller can, louvers inside, smaller holes, older looking box
-China made, white can, holes inside, gasket color matches ADBV
-China made, pale blue can, holes inside, gasket is black
Do I keep them, return some? Any concerns here?

Yeah that doesn't bother me, I'm wondering if I should exchange the one old stock filter that I have...here's the date code on the USA made one:The left is probably old stock purolator made. The other two are basically the same filter. The base gasket doesn’t have to be silicone

That’s crazy… I don’t live in a particularly affluent part of Cincinnati, maybe AAP thinks I’m poor (false)? Or just a tightwad (VERY TRUE!)?This is most likely price discrimination. They have some idea of income levels from IP addresses and other data and decide who a discount is and is not necessary for.
It's happening quite a lot;

Amazon, Staples and the Steam video game store vary the price by geographic location by up to 166%.

Some of the new PG built Carquest Premiums can be built in Vietnam or China, even for the same filter number. Here's two threads that show one of each. The China built CQP in the same model doesn't have the silicone base gasket, which seems strange since I'd think Carqest spec on that filter is to have a silicone base gasket.The left is probably old stock purolator made. Both of the newer style filters I have in my batch are Chinese made, yet one has a silicone gasket and the other nitrile. The variation would make more sense if they had different origin countries for sure.Some of the new PG built Carquest Premiums can be built in Vietnam or China, even for the same filter number. Yes, that's pretty strange when on the same filter model number. Maybe it's a supply chain thing where they sometimes substitute parts (like the base gasket) on the same filter model. Note that the one with the silicone base gasket is the P shaped gasket too.Both of the newer style filters I have in my batch are Chinese made, yet one has a silicone gasket and the other nitrile. Wondering what my four will look like. Is the sale a way to move the odd stock? That would kind of suck.Both of the newer style filters I have in my batch are Chinese made, yet one has a silicone gasket and the other nitrile. Yeah, it's hard to see in my pic but the nitrile one has the P shape too.Yes, that's pretty strange when on the same filter model number. Could be if they they have some old stock. The one I ordered on-line and pickup at the store was pretty new with a 2024 date code.Wondering what my four will look like. Is the sale a way to move the odd stock? That would kind of suck.
What are the date codes on the dome on those two filters with the same model number?Yeah, it's hard to see in my pic but the nitrile one has the P shape too.
I'll report back on what I receive. Hopefully PG style as advertised.Could be if they they have some old stock. The one I ordered on-line and pickup at the store was pretty new with a 2024 date code.
The one I got I picked up at the store, so I'd think the stores have pretty new stock. If someone orders on-line for a delivery to your house, maybe it's possible there could be old stock if it's coming out of a warehouse someplace.I'll report back on what I receive. Hopefully PG style as advertised.

So the slightly blue one is older and has the nitrile base gasket. Unless it's black silicone, which I doubt.
I got two cases of those $8/case PG basic's from Walmart. One case was MIV, the other MIC.Some of the new PG built Carquest Premiums can be built in Vietnam or China, even for the same filter number.
