I was expecting these to be the Vietnam made filters, but I’m sure the Chinese ones are the same…hopefully.

Not all the Carquest Premium filters are made in China. The one I picked up today, and I looked at two others for my motorcycle, were all made in Vietnam.

Even the new stock of Microgard selects are Chinese, and don’t have the silicone base gasket anymore.

Wonder if the same applies as I mentioned above to the MGS, since they are PG made. I bought 3 MGS from O'Reilly in the last 6 months and all were made in Vietnam. Sure you're not thinking of the base model Microgards?

My first time seeing this font and the 5 digit code (10417).

The usual font is identical for made in Vietnam and made in China. So I'd say that this 2024 China filter is not made by Guangdong AFI (which is the sister company to Vietnam AFI).

2 cases of PG's already, plus another case of the PentiusXL's. Plus, 16 OEM Mazda filters (Japan.) Plus a few others also.....

Good thing I will soon have (3) Mazda vehicles to take care of.

This is a great price on those PG filters though!

I just looked using my phone, same result as using my computer ... no 40% off super sale here. Compare to phone screen shot in post 2. It has to be location specific.

Why would going through a VPN cause the AAP ad to change? They are either on 40% off sale or not in the area people are checking. When I went and picked up a Carquest Premium yesterday, I asked the guy at the counter if they were on 40% off sale and he knew nothing about it.

It's a different IP address. It worked for me. Unfortunately won't work every time.

Also, once you switch IP address, the website will still remember you. Use incognito window and close down between attempts.

So now you have to be a dark web hacker to be able to see AAP sales? If they were 40% off at the store I went to yesterday, the guy would have said so when I specifically asked him if they were. I just smoked all AAP cookies off my computer, and still no 40% off sale. It's not here, regardless of what black magic is tried.

The 40% off is an online only deal and depends on your IP address.

When I used my home wifi, I could not get 40% off at any store including NY ones that others here posted.

With my phone data connection, I get 40% off at ANY store.

And once the browser is remembered by AAP (cookie), you are locked out or locked into the 40% even if you change IP address until you clear the cookie.

You are right; it just worked for me using phone data and DuckDuckGo browser.

AAP don't want to give you a 99.5% at 20 micron filter at 40% discount.

I would suggest incognito tab on your 5g phone connection. Still might not work but your laptop on wifi was not going to work regardless of clearing cookies.
