Sorry Steve, I am usually more diplomatic, but in this case, I had to call it as I see it...perhaps Carnoobie's incessant whining has left me entirely too jaded towards the whole "I am 20, live with my mom, and I am wondering what to do" demographic...

Let's at least try.

Nope. This "lad" has to write a curriculum vitae on his own. He's already spent a couple years doing nothing; having someone wet nurse him makes it meaningless.

The only real success is success that he will achieve on his own.

I was only proposing to offer a template and advice, not that we should do it for him. You are right he needs to find his own motivation.

Sorry to talk about you as if your not there.

Man, that is so completely the opposite of my own life that I am almost offended by it. I guess I should be happy that the kid has supportive parents.

In my own case, you needed a credible income by 18, because my Dad cut you off!

Used to be called 'sink or swim'!

I think the OP meant he has a bunch of energy and wants to get ahead in life and is unsure of his career path. He is the only person that can decide his future. I'm sure he will find something he likes.
