Ok, I need to write a paper on the Car Tuner/Car Modifier community and the dialect of people who work on cars for one of my university courses. I'd really appreciate it if some of you could take the time to answer the questions I have written up. Some of the questions sound wordy but I have to make them sound like they make sense to someone outside of the Car culture.
Its not a long questionnaire and I'd love for some of you to fill it out. No requirements needed. Would love to have people from every age range (teens to elderly, I dont care!) You dont even have to have any mods done to your car or cars, just as long as you are into the car scene.
Here are the questions!
1. What appealed to you about automotive tuning/modifying?
2. Why do you tune/modify your vehicle? What is your motivation? Specific reasons? For fun? Elaborate.
3. What vehicle/s do you modify/tune and why this/these vehicle/s?
4. What modifications do you have and why these modifications?
a. If you have performance modifications, why did you choose them?
b. If you have modifications solely for appearance purposes, why did you choose them?
5. When you hear these words or phrases, what do they mean to you in relation to automotive tuning? Please include your definition of each word. (If you can think of more, please feel free to add them.)
