I need a good car cover for keeping dust off and some bump protection while in storage in a garage, i looked at calici car covers and they seem very god but very expensive too, any others out there cheaper in price ?

California Car Cover makes excellent covers that fit. Skip the generic Covercrafts and such because they won't fit as well and will not last as long. Been there and done that.

I found some decent ones from empire. This cover was a replacement cover for a custom cover that cost three times as much and started leaking water and collecting dust under the cover in less than a year. My Empire cover is 4 months old, has survived numerous strong thunderstorms and seering Texas sun, and so far is exceeding my expectations. I have 3 cars under cover, soon the other two will be covered by Empire.

I used to buy the car covers that were made of dupont tyvek material.

It is the same stuff that they wrap houses with.

That worked excellent for dust coverage inside, or water coverage outside.

If you are storing the car outside, then run some ropes under the car, and attach to the car, or that cover will blow away.

I bought the cover at walmart.

The Empire cover seems pretty nice and alot more cheaper that california car covers by over a hundred dollars.

The only thing is I would really like to have a cover that gives protection from walk by dings or scratches and a thick cover would be nice to have, not sure if Empire is made that way, i will have to talk to them next week.

the max cover can protect from minor dings or scratches, it's a trade off. the heavy covers don't let the car breath and can cause just as much damage inside the car. try putting some barriors around your car like saw horses. (keep the kids and dogs away) :)
