Anyone has experience with these? How are they compared to Gearwrench? Are they smoother?

I have the Gearwrench 120XP and they are not as smooth.

Have you tried removing the cover, spraying some cleaner on there to get rid of the old lube and any dirt, then using sae 30 or heavier lube? Some ratchets, like the matco 88 don't like heavy lubes, but most do and really smooth out

I have a Diehard 1/2 non locking flex head that share the same head and internals. The only GW I own to compare it to is a 3/8 84t, and the DH is smoother in comparison, at least to me. Not a pure apples to apples comparison but it's all I've got.

I have the non flex. Excellent tool. But the handle isn't as stiff as I'd prefer.

Many tool makers seem to forget that longer handles need also to be thicker.

Not often a factor, but I noticed it enough to annoy me.

The ratchet itself is excellent. I just wish the XL length handle was a bit heavier duty. Like their XL breaker bars where are SUPERB.

Flex head is a must for me.

Smoothness is a bit overrated, what you really want is minimal slop. Thankfully, there are many good ratchets out there now. The ICONS are good, Capri is good, Gearwrench 90s are EXCELLENT. Tektons are very good also.

I really like the Tekton non-quick release. Strong, smooth, and if you need parts, Tekton can get you them as fast as Amazon (and faster than a tool truck in many cases).

I would give a hard look at the Icon G2 ratchets, especially if you have a HF store local to you.

I think the Capri should be decent based on my limited amount of tools I have from them, I do not have ratchets but their thin profile wrenches and socket bit sets have been surprisingly good. Seeing as they are apparently made by Infar (I have not been able to confirm 100%) who also make Icon, Carlyle, Blue Point, etc. I think they will be pretty smooth.
