Can't find good filter and good oil at the same store

Kmart and Wally World sells Mobil 1 and Pennzoil full sythetic at good prices, but don't carry decent filters (except possibly ST's).

Carquest and NAPA carry Wix and NAPA Gold filters, but don't offer good deals on synthetic oil?

Anyone know of a chain that carrys both at good prices?

You might want to wait until one of the major chains has a sell and then stock up. For instance, Pep Boys has the buy three get three free Mobil 1. They also has coupons for Purolator Premium Plus filters for $2.

PepBoys stocks Purolator filters which are very good quality and they often have sales on Mobil1 and other synthetics.

Another way to go is to mail order your filters in sets of six or twelve at a time to keep the shipping costs under control. You can get Wix from www.rockauto.com or www.discountautoparts.com and Baldwin from www.adiesel.com if you want to go that way. They buy your oil locally.

The local Advanced Auto carries a good selection of filters, including Purolators, and a decent selection of oils (but not at WalMart prices).

I recently discovered that my local Napa carries Amsoil! A daunting selection as well. I've been sifting through the board via search to find out what is what, because there seems to be quiet a selection of oils (including a 75W90 gear oil). Not a $ deal, but hey, I could drive 20 miles one way to the nearest WalMart to save a couple bucks...

That's life I guess. I get most of my oil from Checker(chevron), but I have to go to Pep boys or Advanced to get my filters.(purolator)

I pick up Pennzoil and the non Ecore, non clicker ST 3950 at Wal-Mart. I find I can pick up the Purolator L 15436 else where enough cheaper than the ST 9018 to be worth while doing so. Recently grabbed a years supply of them. Also have one ST 3950 back to buy 3 months to find something else if I have to.
