Can't decide between Amsoil and Redline

smart to stay with 0W20 while in warranty however if your OM says for towing or off-roading you could step up to a 0 or 5W30 then go ahead. Don't think you need unicorn tears such as Amsoil or Redline absolutely nothing Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1 ESP cant handle.

The Jeep came with Pennzoil 0w-20 from factory. The motor sounds nice and smooth.

Do you have KRL results on both oils? Probably can’t say which one is more shear stable without that data, since every single engine will have slightly different fuel dilution, points that may cause VIIs to shear mechanically, etc.

If you do have KRL results, that would be sweet to see!

I don't but I've seen hundreds of UOA's. Both are shear stable, but I'd give RL the edge here.

Switched to Redline 0w-30 for ours as soon as the warranty period was over. Wrangler JL Sport.

Cant really go wrong with either.
I personally and an AMSOIL guy, but anytime I owned an AX-15 in an XJ I had to use REDLINE fluid to keep the synchro's happy.

I probably lean towards AMSOIL simply due to brand placement and experience, I have used it in various ways for years and its readily available around me which has made me a PC for a while now. I just cant really speak to the marketing, customer support and ease of purchase of REDLINE.

Picked up 10 qts of OE and 10 qts of Signature Series 0w-30 from my local dealer. The membership brought the bill way down. Amsoil is cheaper than the rest. Surprisingly the dealer was open today for a few hours.
