What I don't see with a fire this large why fire crews haven't started using the converted DC-10, and the converted 747 that hold 3-4 times the fire suppression chemicals of the small aircraft currently on site. I thought evergreen or eva air cargo was/is the owner.
What I don't see with a fire this large why fire crews haven't started using the converted DC-10, and the converted 747 that hold 3-4 times the fire suppression chemicals of the small aircraft currently on site. I thought evergreen or eva air cargo was/is the owner.
They are using one DC10 since Wednesday and another since Thursday. Currently there are over 90 airplanes in operations, including all 12 C130 MAFFS located here in Colorado Springs.
B747 is not operational anymore. It was also located here in Colorado Springs.
