Can you reduce your oil level if you check the oil enough times?

There is a fine line between taking good care of a car and diagnosable mental illness.
Pretty sure this would be an example of the later.

That video seems like a lot of stupid work for not a big payoff.

I debated on posting the following because it really takes sarcasm to another level. Here goes.....I would have done it this way because I have nothing better to do. It's too hot outside anyway. Plus, it has a Project Farm feel to it. 🤪

Preparation:
  1. Get a roll of 1/4 sheet Bounty. Tear off a minimum of seven, 1/4 sheets.
  2. Number each sheet and weigh - record the weight.
Procedure:
  1. Pull and wipe the dipstick on one sheet,
  2. Repeat the pull and wipe with a new sheet.
Data:
  1. Weigh each oily sheet.
  2. Subtract the weight of the clean sheet from the dirty sheet.
Calculations:
  1. Average the difference in weight between dirty and clean towels.
  2. Using the formula, mass/density = volume
    1. Mass = average of (dirty towel) - (clean towel)
    2. Density of Motor Oil (assume 15w-40) = 0.87g/ml
  3. Divide quotient (2) into sump capacity.
  4. This quotient (3) equals the number of dipstick withdrawals needed to see a drop in sump level (pick a level, say 1 or 2cc's).
