Can you recover deleted text conversations on iPhone 6?

I just had a friend of mine text me and asked me if you can recover a conversation he accidentally deleted from his iPhone 6. I told him that I honestly have no idea because I’m not that cell phone savvy so I figured I would ask you guys.

I believe so as long as he has been backing up his phone to iCloud. He has to see if he has the messages toggle on in iCloud backup

If they have backup shortly before the message erased on iCloud they can reset entire phone and restore from iCloud backup. No easy way really.
