which would you gusy rather use? the Maxlife or the M1 both in dex3? seems like M1 has better #'s according to my first and second post. i pulled the info off the websites and pasted them
yeah i am goint to start phasing in M1. nothing wrong with maxlife but i am going to start doing my drain and fills with M1 rather than maxlife. yeah ill be mixing them. drain and fills every 5k miles for awhile then phase out to 15k miles
I used Mobil 1 MercV/DexIII synthetic ATF in my dad's Lexus ES300 which states to use DEX III ATF. The stuff ran great.
I don't know why people fear Mobil 1 ATF so much, it always works well provided it meets the frictional requirements of the transmission.
Another thing I keep thinking about is why Dex VI in Dex III applications scares people. At one time, Dex III was being put into Dex II transmissions, why wasn't there a huge number of cars with dead transmissions?

Yep, you're not the only one. It actually works well. Until I see issues, DexronVI is an option even where it is not recommended. But, if someone has an issue, fingers will point in my direction.

did you do a total flush and put in all dex6 or did you just drain and fill with dex6?? i dont see where there would be an issue where dex3 was used before and start using dex6 but i dont want to be the one that finds out its bad lol.
You should not have any problem. That fluid has been tested over many thousands of miles in both old product and new product. That was done in order to confirm the back service claim.
