Can i use this filter?

Bosch recommends for my Capri a Bosch 0451103029
However i have found that they make a larger filter which is the 0451203194

I am generally a fan of oversized oil filters, can i use it?

Everything seems to be the same except two measurements which are one mm smaller on the larger one?

Thread is the same, ADBV and Bypass valve opening pressures are the same...

Look at the filter mount. I'd bet the seat is big enough to accomodate the 1 mm dimention difference.

If it fits the filter mount and the gasket has full contact, then it should work fine. You already verified thread size and bypass setting is the same.

Yes. "Should" is the operative word here. Can you do some internet research and find out if other people have tried this filter substitution, and their results? Might be worth a bit of time to learn from the experience of others.
