I have been using Pennzoil Ultra 5W-30 in my wifes Lexus V6 RX300. Now Walmart has decided to stop carrying it. A friend of mine working at the Dodge dealer says they have Pennzoil Ultra Euro L 5W-30. He says they use it in the Sprinter vans. Would that be as effective as the regular Ultra? I could use some advice on the matter. Thanks for any help. Not happy with Walmart now.

What about the Toyota SN 0w20? I know Toyota recommends 0w20 for many of their new V6 engines. It's pretty cheap and has a ridiculously high viscosity index.

Don't use it!!! It is made for diesels. It has a completely different additive package. I spoke with a tech at Pennzoil he strongly advised me not to use it in a non-diesel. It is not API certified. Even the cheapest oil at wal-mart would be better for your engine.

Isn't the Euro L approved for VW 504, which is a designation for gas engines? Not saying it's appropriate for the Lexus, though.
