It has been a long time since I have visited so I am behind on my info. I also get poor results when I try and search so figure this could get me better answers, sooner.
I have some leftover Mobil1 0W-40 European formula, the new stuff that has FS on the label. I would like to know if I can use it in my 2012 Corvette with the LS3 engine?
I know that GM says to use Dexos1 but from what I have read, a decent API SN oil can be used as makeup?
Or, could I just use that as a fresh fill? I am in South AZ. so lots of high temp days. With just regular driving on a hot day I can easily see oil temps over 225-230℉

Thanks

IMO Mobil1 0w40 would be a great choice for a Vette in Arizona. In fact that would probably be my choice for it in AZ. Robust oil, look for some uoa’s of it on here.

It's a 2012 as noted, it's been out of warranty for a while.

That's true, if he didn't purchase an Extended Warranty.
