Can Amsoil ATF be mixed with Mercon V

In doing a partial drain on a Mercon V filled transmission (drop pan) can the fluid removed be replaced with Amsoil ATF making a Mercon V/Amsoil ATF mix or do the two fluids not mix well?

I can honestly say I've mixed Amsoil ATF with just about any ATF out there with no difficulties. But really to get the best of the Amsoil ATF, the higher the percentage the better.
