39,900 miles. A year and 6 months old. GM, the commute is going to get even longer in a month or so.

GM, I didn't know you had a long commute? Are you running extended drains? I don't look forward to loosing the warranty either.

Not a long cummute, but a 7 day a week commute for the past 4.5 months.

I'm also running to warehouse clubs daily and visiting the in-laws a few times.

If you count both car and truck, you could add at least 14k miles to the 34k miles.

Draining at 4-5k. I've got the oil to last 2 years so I'm not buying syn to extend further at this time.

Buster, with your warranty going, you might consider not pushing that Accord as much as is your custom.

Just my opinion of course, but it would seem the reasonable thing to do. On the other hand, it's a a Honda - when was the last time you heard of one needing more than standard maintenance?

We bought the extended warranty with the CR-V (5 year/100k), and now that we're pushing towards 60k, I'm looking forward to getting that check in the mail after not making a claim against it. (Cross fingers) $2000+

The ones that fry transmissions!

My car actually is very well taken care of. I don't redline it from a dead stop, rather I gradually raise the rpms through the rpm range and cruise at 80 mph on average. That is a good way to keep an engine a long time. You want to get the engine/oil hot or at least up to operating temperature.
