Someones in marketing has been watching Sandy Munro I see. Castings, 3D parts.....Tesla Fans ultimate lure.

That being said though, I think Caddy had using castings in their new Camaro platform.

Lastly, I look at this but see some of this:

Where would you leave this unattended? I can think of: home garage, secure garage at work, country club. Beyond that…?

Of course, if you can spend $300k on a car maybe it doesn’t matter.

Cadillac started using large castings in the “Omega” chassis (CT6) starting in 2016. The older Alpha chassis is the one shared with the Camaro.

They even contracted with Idra (the same company Tesla later bought their casting machines from) to supply their casting machines. Magna ultimately made the cast parts for Cadillac with the Idra machines.

The Tesla castings are much larger, but they didn’t come up with the idea. The CT6 has (13?) separate castings joined together within the body-in-white.

Iconic brand? Maybe 4-5 decades ago and that generation is seriously fading. Haven't heard of anybody really wanting any Caddy in quite a few yrs. I say bring Pontiac back and let Cadillac die off where it belongs!

I would imagine someone with the ability to purchase a $300.000.00 vehicle wouldn't spend their $300,000.00. on a Cadillac. Maybe Jay Leno?

It's a shame really. They could've been the Mercedes of the US. Perhaps this will be a tipping point.

Pontiac needs to remain buried and forgotten. GM already has Dodge and Buick.

I guess they think having a vehicle with what looks like has huge blind spots, 23" pimpmobile wheels that will likely get damaged easily by potholes, a 55" infortainment system (where the heck do they put a 55" screen ???) and 41 speakers that will probably have a few of them fail after a while and be a nightmare to tear the car apart to replace will make them the Standard of the World.

It does look like it has a nice sized trunk.
