Cadillac CELESTIQ Official Reveal

I rather have the DS. I cant see too many takers at a price higher than a S class Maybach or a Bentley and a Tesla S for in town if you really want an EV. I don't know, a car with 6-10 thousand rechargeable flashlight batteries with a finite lifespan and begin to die the minute they are installed is still not doing anything for me. On the other hand a hand built twin turbo V8 or V12 under the hood make my socks go up and down.
Trav predicts a total flop. LOL

I wish caddy the best of luck, $300k is a LOT OF MONEY for a brand whose flagship and volume model is the Escalade.

Thats Ghost territory.

I guess they didn't learn from their past 'Halo" cars. The 1957-1959 70 Eldorado Brougham, Allante, XLR. All were all halo cars and all were flops.
Remember the 8-6-4 engine? Now that was a disaster. End of Cadillac for me, as I knew a older man who always wanted a Caddy. Saved his whole life. Paid well over $20K, which was serious $$ then. Dang thing never ran right and GM did not stand behind their product.

Preach it, Trav! If Cadillac ever had a true halo car, it was the CTS-V they just killed. It could challenge the Germans on all fronts in the performance sedan categories, yet had American swagger and no need for AWD or other gimmickry.

This glorified RC car is hardly a halo; it’s more like a garbage can with an illuminated rim so you can see where to aim your vomit…

The 8-6-4 was a real junker, the HT4100 was worse. The last good caddy for me were the 70 Eldorado with its 8.2 ltr and the 76 Eldorado convertible albeit under powered it was a nice style.

The Celes-whatever makes the Cybertruk look good. What were they thinking?
Yeah, maybe the front is ok but the rear brings no emotion, nor evokes a characteristic Cadillac style.

For $300k they should have created a v-16 PHEV that is world class to beat EV and ice. RWD with electric motors upfront, do some real engineering to get gobs of power down.

Didn’t the CT5-V take the power train ? 668 HP and under $100k …

Sorry GM but for $300k I'm buying a Ferrari or several other "regular" cars.
