This filter only had 1800 miles on it. It’s off of my bigger turbo fiesta ST. I wanted to change the oil and filter due to the tons of miles (highway and many canyon runs at night) and the fact I was using racing oil so I wanted to get a street oil back in it.

The oil was pretty clean and I definitely could have ran it longer (Maxima RS530)

Dissapointed the box said the filter was synthetic (probably a blend but definitely no synthetic media). And the louvers weren’t awesome. But it worked. A little glue here and there that I couldn’t pick off with my fingernails

Looks good. Did I miss what oil and filter went on? Thank You

It was one filter that leaked at the bypass. A cork has to be put in the Fram style so the bypass valve isn’t tested at all on those. Should it added PG filters use the same kind of bypass as the Wix shown here? Probably shouldn’t say that. :D:censored:

^^^ Any "valve" has the potential to leak, especially leak air - why you trying to make it a filter brand name thing? My comment was to clarify is the leaf spring was being discussed, since there was a shot of the metal leaf spring in the post. The bypass valve disk is not metal on the subject filter.

It’s ok not to want to compare. I shouldn’t say the PG bypass looks the same, no, better not say that around these parts.:censored:
I wasn’t responding to your post at all, I agree it isn’t metal.

Any post made by anyone in any thread can be commented on. Like I said above, any "valve" can leak (regardless of brand or design) ... especially air like in the bubble point test. The leaf spring "sealing" area on the end cap is not a "bypass valve" like some keep referring too ... that was part of my clarification in post 15.
