Very nice! I wish I could find room for a bypass filter. If anyone has accomplished this on a 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT please let me know. This is what I have to work with..

Get up under the car and see if there are any "dead" spaces. There usually are behind the front bumpers.

Looks Great! I just put mine in a 5.9 360 99 Ram same place. I just used the sandwich adaptor. Don't forget to paint that oil pan it'll start to rust quick.

Move the Car battery into the trunk...

On the Mitsu GT, you can free up some space from the stock airbox if you are interested in going with a K&N cone filter or cold air induction. If you go with a battery in the trunk get a sealed optima and the $40 custom optima mounting bracket and be done with it.

What's wrong with ...hmmmm at about @ 3-4 o'clock ..or slightly above and to the right of the oil fill cap? You don't have to rigidly fasten it. Just attach it to some semi-stationary stuff so it don't bounce around. Use zip ties and just cut them when you need to service it.

Yes,you are correct. These pics were taken in Florida last year.I only had a couple days to install the filter before we left, kinda' last minute trip. And no,I've not gotten around to painting it in the last year.

Paker,

I've got mine in front of the radiator. It is off to the side and probably does block a miniscule amount of air but I seriously doubt that it matters.

Yep, that's what I did ...95 Altima ..have the Frantz transmission filter hanging from the master cylinder with zip ties..and the motorguard resting in the "V" of my radiator fan shroud....they don't go any place/ move around..as long as I don't roll the car over on its' roof!

Check for open space under the car in front of the front wheel wells before the bumper.I placed mine there for my truck which is protected and adds a little extra cooling. Its also a breeze to service.
