Buying farm direct meat

We only buy beef from farmers. Also some butchers are better than others.

I am in Oshkosh. Put a deposit down on 1/4 pastured beef from a farm in Shawano. Grass fed mostly, grain finished. Also getting some chickens from near Marinette. Put a deposit down on a freezer from a regional appliance store in Appleton, they expect a bunch in the next month from Frigidaire made in MN.

There is a butcher shop in Campbellsport that is excellent. Ive driven over an hour to get beef processed there. The farmer is in Sheboygan. Im in between Madison and Milwaukee.

Anyway, just for future reference in case you want to try other places. Thats just info on butchers.
The whole corn fed, grass fed, grain, etc is a whole different discussion. One that I have no interest in.
