How important are differences in burst strength between filters? On this site I found out about a substutute filter for my John Deere riding mower because the OEM filters were ridiculously priced @ $10 and the only after market that anyone stocked was also $10 (NAPA Gold 51056). I can supposedly use the Wix 51348 (Fram PH 3614 equivalent) so I went to the Wix site and compared the 51056 with the 51348 and all the specs are the same except for length and burst strength. The burst strength on the 51056 is 325 PSI vs. 275 PSI on the 51348. Does this matter?

i dont know about this but I have heard of several oil filters bursting in a cummins engine and it was always a fram.
