Hey folks:

Not sure if this is the right place for this.

Like a dope - I accidentally burned up my plastic handled scrub brush on the grill grates. It dripped down and on to the flavor burners.

It made an absolute mess. I was able scrape most off most and used some vinegar on the parts. And am slowly burning off any remainder.

I saw another thread which suggested using ammonia for grease - but that really isn't my problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I might consider changing the flavor bars to be sure if burning it off doesn't work. Here is a link to a brush I bought last year and is worth every penny I paid for it. I had my grill as hot as it could get a couple weeks ago like I do every spring and it didn't hurt it a bit.

I posted it here last July.

Rookie.

hilarious - I reread my title this morning.

good point on replacing the bars - they are pretty rusted anyway - but only a few years old.
