The meek shall inherit the earth. Unfortunately.. it appears that this will be true only after the wicked are done with it.

In a "free" world the populace always finds ways to bring forward the MARKET CORRECTION LOL! The key is to understand what rights you are afforded by our constitution and question/accost anyone who attempts to take them away.

...and that is all you can really ask for. It's not a perfect world.

..and NOT participate and capitalize on the flaws that anti-constitutionalism promote. Don't fuel and exacerbate that which you will also assert is defective when the piper takes his toll.

You can't play both ends of the street without being disingenuous.

Philosophical check valves. They tend to only work in one direction. ME forward.

What constitution? Possibly my copy is incomplete, but I can't find the part where it allows the federal government to abrogate contracts, fire the executives of private companies, or hand taxpayer dollars to private companies on a whim with no accountability and with no recourse for the people who provided those funds.

What the loudest mob wants this week be Dam|\|ed. 90% of what's been done to deal with the banking situation and the auto industry can in no way be constitutional. The problem we have right now is that no one has enough balls or $ to pursue the litigation to illustrate that fact.

And yet here you are advocating and cheering on the unconstitutional goings on...

What was that about disingenuous...

And do you own any stocks/bonds or 401K, etc..?

Tempest. Tell me you didn't cheer for flawed things that hurt your nation ..helped enslave its population to debt ..as long as ONE element, tax cuts, were part of the equation.

You grabbed for the bacon, all the while knowing that there WOULD be some bitter pill to swallow when the all too well known side effects came to bear.

I don't advocate "unconstitutional" goings on. I accept that they are the result of shameful behaviors that allowed this type of governess to take hold. Don't blame the socialist viper for doing no more than its appointed task.

Make a constitutional agenda PAY and don't promote false prophets ..just because it profits YOU in the process.

Don't like what you see? Blame it on those who were the vital machinery ..those that executed and profited from the machinery that was ultimately flawed in its fundamental physics. They were not stupid. They were not uninformed. They were the most privileged and educated of our society ..and they marched the entire society, with self interest in mind, right into dysfunction. They laid billions in life's savings and accumulations to waste with pen strokes. Everyone participated ..even if they weren't participating.

At some point people are going to have to ask themselves what kind of life you want to associate with America. As we argue back and forth, the floor is sinking fast. How dysfunctional do you want it to get before low enough is enough? You want to "compete" internationally? Well, then you're just gonna have to start resembling those competitors.

Let's devolve at as fast a pace as possible. Maybe we can bring back the good old days. Abolish the child labor laws ..and all the regulations that keep honest people honest.

Maybe we can bring back the paint chip theory ..or rather apply it. We can eliminate public education ..so that only those deserving, due to affording it, will be aware of just what the heck is going on. It will be much easier to manage the rabble then. We can start poor houses and build more prisons ..and can probably manage to make them pay for it.

Sounds like Nirvana, doesn't it?

Yes. I've stated it quite a few times. I'll even tell you how much I have. I received THREE shares of Exxon in 1977 when I left Exxon. I've done nothing but the DR'P since then. I have one small 401k of about $5k ..

..and that's it. The rest of my holdings is in my house. The wife has a TIAA-CREFF retirement account ..and I have my defined benefit pension.

That's it, pal.

Most of my life has been in a 100% defensive posture since I saw the writing on the wall during the housing boom:bust that resulted in the S&L Crisis and saw it repeated time and time again. The promotion of avenues of gain that, when maximum participation is accomplished, summarily collapse and wring the worth out of those still participating.

Could I have done better? YES. Would it have altered the amount or level of fleecing that occurred in our last "fad for the purposes of shaking us down"? NO.

the BULLS are making a run for the money on oil and gas as we speak . Part is due to the less than expected job loss . Don't these people realise their greed hurts the economy with higher fuel prices ? So , here we go again . Wake up people , start buying smaller vehicles to help the economy and the AMERICAN car manufacturers when they begin to produce more of them . Found out my cousin traded in his pickup and S.U.V. for smaller cars because of last year's high gas prices ( possibly an YARIS sedan ) . FORD C.E.O. said earlier in his words that the AMERICAN consumers need to apply fuel efficiency as well . It's a beginning . Just think , less consumption , less at the pump . If more drove smaller vehicles gas could be $1.50 or less . The more to help pay credit card debt , home loans , car loans , etc.. Thus , fewer bankruptcies and defaulting on payments that hurt those who do pay their dues on time , because of higher rates to make up for loss by banks . What comes around , goes around . We all have an impact on other individuals with our actions .

That's worked really well with utility prices and gas taxes....

That's not what I asked for. I asked for your vision of how things end up and function with your preferred mechanisms. I want the play by play ..the blow by blow ..the color too. Not just parroting ideals that typically get corrupted in the translation where self interests are morphing belief.

It's sorta like posting a banner that says "GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" ...while being silent about "for the grand opportunity to shake down so many suckers and do it with help".

Why is that? Don't you have any original thought on what society might come out of realization of your ideals? No thought of consequences? Don't care? Don't know?

Surely you've contemplated the outcomes.

This from a guy who believes in purging certain classes of people and killing them. Good one.
