Last night I ordered an AMD FX-4300 CPU, ECS A960M-MV motherboard, and 2G of DDR3 1333 RAM. I will be replacing an ASUS K8N and Athlon 64 3000+. The old system has been good, but just wont keep up with anything modern. I will attempt to plug n play my hdd with mint17 xfce.

What is the computer used for?

I had a very tight budget ($155) and to get running this combo deal was all I could afford. Ram upgrade will come when funds allow. I would love to have a better mobo and more RAM, but the fact is this should be light years ahead of what I'm running now.

Internet surfing, light gaming, and occasional youtube video editing. I would like to play something better than COD 2 and Quake 4.

Package came today and I got it all installed. Booted right up to the HDD. Linux ran like nothing ever happened. currently running at 3.8G woot. This is a pleasant surprise after doing two complete board swaps on Windows 95 and XP. Didn't have to install mobo drivers, GPU drivers or anything. Sorry, I'm just excited to have a modern computer for the first time in 10 years.
