Broken ribs

It's going to hurt for awhile, and it's easy to reinjure them. Just try to be very careful in how you move.

The general rule I've been told over the years for bone breaks, broken ribs, muscle tears, etc. is 6-8 weeks. But that depends how fast you heal, your tolerance for pain, whether you keep reinjuring yourself, etc.

My condolences, and good luck.

In one fall from a 8ft ladder I broke 7 ribs, my collarbone, my tailbone, my cockx, and I can tell you all about pain. Therapy included cutting up that POS Aluminum ladder into small little pieces. Bone pain and healing is very tiring. Sleep is helpful, however finding that position to sleep can be a PITA.

I must've been some kind of miracle case but 5 years ago I got run over while crossing the street. Woke up one morning and sat up and it felt two ribs were touching but no pain.

X-ray later confirmed fracture.
