I'm having a helluva time finding fittings for my upcoming trans cooler and remote filter install.

I'm in need of:
2x 1/2" NPT male to 3/8" nipple to connect hose to remote filter mount
1x 1/2" NPT male to 1/8" NPT Female to connect transmission fluid temp sensor to remote filter mount

Summit racing has one but not the other and I'd like to make just one order someplace. Online preferred.

Thanks!

Or a real auto parts store chain (not a national one)-you might even try a HVAC/refrigeration supply house-the ones I use carry HD brass fittings that are thicker walled than standard-that's what I use.

doubt the bulk fluid really gets that hot. Excursions are usually OK, heavy wall would be best, IMO.

Those should be easy to find, even at Home Depot. Just FYI, the jargon for what you need is 1/2" NPT to 3/8" "Barb" fitting and 1/2" NPT to 3/8" NPT "bushing". A "nipple" is a completely different fitting that is a short section of threaded pipe. That might make it easier for you to find them.

You can probably find both in steel also.

I will second that opinion. As an added bonus, I live close to their warehouse so if I order by 7pm the shipment will arrive the next day at ground shipping rates.

I'm jealous.

And thanks tom! Bushing! I would have never guessed. What's the name for the style that's not ribbed for the hose's pleasure but still has the 1 bulge at the tip?

Wow and they arrived today :-)

I got the high temp fittings (were stainless) that were rated for oil. Also moved up to a SAE approved bushing. Such an awesome place.
