What Expat tried to convey is why do you want Lucas ? Any DOT-3/4 brake fluid will work on any brake/clutch system without problem for 2-3 years. The key is change brake fluid regularly.

In addition to being quality fluid, it has the benefit of coming in two different colors (blue and gold). That makes it very easy to know when you've gotten the old stuff out when you're using a bleeder to refresh the fluid.

Best,

Well I have been using Lucas products for awhile, in tractors and other equipment, and it has worked well for me. Currently I use Pennzoil Dot 3 brake fluid for clutches and brake systems, I was just wondering if Lucas had there own.
Do you guys not like Lucas Oil products?

To many of us, Lucas = Snake Oil.

There are some companies with good reputations such as ATE, MANN, Lubegard, Lubromoly, Kanolabs ... Their products are high quality at reasonable price.

Some Lucas products are okay, but there are more effective one's that make Lucas look placebo, or just plain does nothing etc.

IMO, if you want to change brake fluid, Valvoline is similar to Pennzoil and I use it in my vehicle...but that's more of an apples to apples comparison. Valvoline is just easier to find for me than Pennzoil and I prefer it over Prestone brake fluid.

I think Lucas power steering and transmission fluids and additives are good, they work well with tractors and cars. I never used there engine oil and I never will, I'll stick will Shell or Pennzoil. What do you guys use for power steering and other systems for your vehicles? Also do you recommend I use another product?
