Just after the May 95 flood over here I have seen clean Carfax reports with flooded cars. People wouldn't run it through insurance and paid someone to pull carpet and vacuum then trade them in when problems started. This went on for upwards of a year. I bought my 2006 Saturn and checked with no issue but left light and door glass replacement similar to being stolen then wrecked.

Trusting carfax for real information? Have traded two vehicles to dealers who put them on their used car lot with clean car fax reports. Both had been wrecked/repaired subrogating insurance claims....
