Walmart has a new SuperTech model, ST7317, that cross references with the Bosch 3323 and Fram 7317. Looks like it replaces the tiny ST6607. Anyway, it has the old style spring bypass, not the newer leaf clicker design. So it looks like Champion may still design the bypass valve to the needs of a few individual applications.

what Champion Labs sent me....

The new patented "clicker valve" works more efficiently than the older spring type bypass valve. Less unfiltered oil is bypassed with this new design valve. Super Tech, does follow the Fram numbering system for easier reference, per Wal-Mart's request.

I have a ST3614 on the Lexus for my ARX treatment...

This makes no sense to me. The bypass valve should allow as much oil to flow through it as is required at the moment to keep the pressure drop across the filter medium below whatever the specified bypass pressure number is.

A more efficient bypass valve design as defined above seems to be a nonsense statement.
