The sales associate was putting them on the shelves as I was shopping in the oil section. They are roughly $2.25 cheaper than they are at AAP.

strange....I seen these come into my local WM about a week ago BUT they were not stocking them! I asked the night stocker, and he said something about "nah man they are new mod I can't put them out yet..." or something.....so apparantly, they WILL be putting them out, I'm just curious what they will be getting RID of cause the oil filter aisle at my local WM is cluster-[censored] as-it-is! LOL....always a MESS cause of the filters, customers will take one off the shelf, and find another one (like a ST) for $2 cheaper, and put that one in it's place, etc.....

Curious what they will be getting rid of....? My WM has a small-ish SuperTech filter section, a couple MotorCrafts, and even fewer Mopar filters....couple of the Mopar and MC filters were even on Clearance (discontinued likely.....) but still, curious what they are getting rid of to make room for all the new stock...unless it's simply a move to "fill the void" for the filters that FRAM does not make......

Cool!! Now I don't have to make 2 trips for my oil changes! I get all my oil at Walmart but had to go elsewhere for the filters because I won't use a Fram.

Hope they carry the ones for my vehicles ... would try one if the price is reasonable.

Now when you say 2.25 cheaper is that including the AAP coupons..?

I'd agree with you about Fram, EXCEPT for the Xtended Guard (XG). The XGs are in the same class as the Mobil 1 EP and NAPA Platinum. If I had to choose between a Fram XG and a Bosch D+, I'd do it on price, because they are both top tier filters.

No, just regular price alone. $11.25(I think) at WM and $13.49 at AAP.

With the current $5 rebate, not bad. I'd think for the folks on the West coast with no Advance Auto(w/online codes and pick up), this will be decent. Curious to see how they will do at Wally. Fram will doubtless still dominate Wally shelf space.

And I agree with you there as well. That is a good filter.

I should have been more specific in that my Walmart only carries the Orange can for my application.

Not in my book, the NP is a fully synthetic wire backed media like a EAO,RP the XG's are a blend and the M1's in one particle test did better then the EAO.

The Bosch Distance Plus filters appear to have the same 99.9% efficiency rating as the Purolator Pure One (limited selection sold at K-Mart). I used to buy M1 and Amsoil EAO filters but have seen $5 Purolator PureOne filters at my local K-Mart. I too will be visiting my local Wal-Mart to look for the Bosch Distant Plus filters. I resonate with "daman" about the robustness of the internal (synthetic?) filter media.
