Bosch filters definitely aren't at my walmart. It's a shame what happened to mine, the oil aisle has been replaced with the fram aisle (it shares a small amount of ST and a very VERY slim amount of motorcraft, mopar and ac delco filters). Sadly, the oil has taken the old filter side of the aisle... which is smaller.

At the very edge of the oil filters there are Bosch Distance+ filters stacked 3 wide all the way from the top of the shelf to the floor at my local Wal-Mart. A beautiful sight next to all that orange junk

Here in Louisiana too. Hopefully they gain shelf space and can push then orange cans over some. I doubt it though as most of the time I am in there glancing, I see people either buying Mobil 1 or Supertech Blue Bottle and supertech filter. Then guys with Mobil 1 usually pick up a toughguard.

None in a local Walmart in So Cal. I saw mostly Fram, few Mopar, Motorcraft and AC Delco. Antifreeze section has only Prestone and Supertech.

Because the Chinese military sets the price..........

That seems like a decent price for an XG.

yep and if it wasnt for a stash of rebate filters I probably would be using them.

Saw them in my WalMart too, but they are priced higher than Fram Xtended Guard filters. Based on my own totally non-scientific observations running PureOne and Motorcraft filters to 10K miles and cutting them open afterwards, I would say that both the Distance Plus and the Xtended Guard are a bit of overkill for most of us. On the other hand, if I was thinking of running OCIs longer than 10K I would consider them.

I like the packaging of the D+ filters, that and the fact they are heavy duty....lol. I picked up a Fram XG 3614 and the "closest match" D+ (didn't have a book to look up the D+ filters yet.....and my phone was running too slow to try using the bosch autoparts.com site to look it up :P) and the Bosch were a LOT heavier....seemed similar in construction to the Chrysler/Mopar filter that the dealer installed last OCI....hehe.

Saw them tonight at my local Walmart for the first time $11.97. Thing that surprised me is that it seems they are lowering the price on many of their other filters. Mopar M-090 was $5.97 now it is a even 4 bucks. Fram TG and OCOD prices seemed to have gone down as well . Supertech and Motorcraft seemed to me to stay at the same price. Overall I think its great they are carrying a superb filter like the Distance+ .

I would never pay that much for a filter. Can someone explain why the Bosch is 3 times more than Motorcraft? I dont see the value

Dirt holding capacity, thicker media, the DP does it better then the MC,it's a long drain extended drain filter.

good filter just lil pricy still...
