I know right!!! Awesome filter!! If I wasnt changing brands of oil I would have left it. But I am running Formula Shell syn now.

Yes. Until Wal-Mart started carrying fram ultra it was going to be the only filterI used. But now im iintrigued and want to run the ultra. Even if your not doing extended drains an extended drain filter offers better filtration out of the box and better oil flow.

The kia I take care of has an ultra on it now. With PP it will do a 10k drain. I'll get picks of it in a few months.

It hasn't always been. I have ran a lot of synthetic oil, MMO, and kreen to get it that way.

Easily,PP is a fine oil.

I would say its a fine oil and it should, but I would take a UOA at 7500 and see how its doing.

OR....two 7500 OCI's....and you'll use the ULTRA to its maximum....especially if your engine is clean. That way you get the 'most' out of your oil and your filter.

Thats my plan....but I'm using M-1 0w20 instead of PP.

I agree some what, going in blind is not always good but these few quick UOA's i found listed below should give him some more confidence.

Just to be clear. This filter is off of my f150. The car we are talking about doing 10k drains is a kia spectra. Its previous filter is in my other post. Fram tg cut open.
But I have no problem letting her run it 10k plus with PP or PU. Its all highway miles and she used to do that with dino before I started changing the oil for her. The car is cleaner than its ever been.

As far as my truck. The most it will ever see is 7500....maybe. its just that right now im doing mostly city driving and im not comfortable pushing it without a uoa. And a uoa is the same price as an oil change so... but I run syn for maximum cleaning because this truck has had issues in the past.
