Changed the oil yesterday in the Equinox.
This was the only filter they had in stock for it. Looks pretty good.

The product picture on the box doesn't even represent the product. lol

Can't go wrong with that filter regardless.

Try it out and report findings. Should be okay coming from the elves in the black forest. Considering they are double jointed with their thumbs I bet they pushed the filter media in there really good for a easy 10k oci j/k

I noticed Fram and Purolator only have one quality in the cartridge filters, and not the typical good, better, and best. Or did I miss something? Thanks.

I'm using the German made Mann filter for my VW GTI.
They make the OEM oil filter for the VW TSI engine.
The Mann filter is the cheapest at Advanced Auto parts @ $13.49 while the Fram cost $13.99 and believe it or not, is also made in Germany.

Looks weird as it has male threads on it.

Fram has distinctive different filters for my buddies 2.2 ecotech. The Fram Ultra I picked up for him has the typical two layers of synthetic media plus wire mesh screen.

Might not be across all cartridges, but both Fram (ExtraGuard, TG and Ultra) and Puro (Classic, P1 and Synthetic) are all available for the the 2.2 ecotec in the Cobalt.

I'm a big P1 fan but personally I couldn't get over the non-straight media I saw on some P1s I got so I picked up some Ultras, itching to take out the Delco I put in to see it and run the Ultra.

You're probably right. I was looking at the 3.6L Pentastar filters.

Unfortunately the Cruze filter is the same way, just the one and the lowest model.

12 bucks at Autozone. I thought it was funny the picture didn't match. Opened it to make sure it was correct(I open every filter). The number on the box is for correct.

Hello, Up to now, the cartridges I've purchased for my Volvo 5 cylinder 2.435L engine have been either MANN or Mahle.
They're of a hard construction. There always has been a WIX listing but I've never bought one.

Recently here, a poster alerted us of a clearance of Purolater filters at K-Mart. I bought 3 of them for my car out of a total purchase of 15 oil filters. They looked more like the "familiar fibrous paper" media we're used to seeing.

The German filters are ~$5 when on "3 for" specials online. Any other listing in a parts store has been closer to $12. The Puros from K-Mart were $4. Kira

The 3.6L Pentastar cartridge is the low end product too, from both Fram and Purolator, no other choices. I'm a little surprised since the Pentastar is probably in about 75% [give or take] of all Chrylser products.
