This came off of my 07 Prius w 113k miles. I usually run 10k OCI's, this run was with Havoline 5w30 syn. Filter looks really good, no tears or holes whatsoever. There was some grime in the can (a bit in the pics was from my dremel), mostly what I saw in the can was fine silt looking stuff but there was a little grit as well. The media itself didn't have a whole lot.

This run I went with a Napa Platinum and Mobil Super Syn 5w30.

Seems everything help up well.

Does look very good.. Did you use that box cutter to open the can ?? Or just cut the media??

I used the box cutter just to cut the media, I used a dremel on the can. I have a cheapo exhaust pipe cutter that I've used but honestly the dremel is easier and doesn't leave a lot in the way of metal filings.

I've used two of these Bosch premium filters and both held up well. I have no problem running most standard filters 10k, the only reason I started running Napa Platinums and Fram Ultras is I got them for $4.50 and it gives me even more elbow room. I also like the option to run them even longer, so comes in handy for the one car I have where I just do annual OCI's at about 7500 mi.

Who knows, I may push the Platinum I just installed to two 10k OCI's. We'll see.

I like the Bosch filters and use them almost exclusively. I get them cheap off rockauto. Thanks for the informative post and excellent photos.

I have same car with about 56k. I used to use the 3325 it is 1/2 in longer giving more capacity, easier installing, but exactly the same filter otherwise. I haven't seen these filter numbers on the tear list. It would have been nice to see the adbv system. I have about a year before I take my Bosch D+ 3325 off and cut it open. It is not the same filter as the oval hole base ones. I change at 5k when the maintenance light stays on.

I can take a pic of the adbv if you like, it's still in my garage in the waste can. It's still very pliable, and seemed to seal very well judging from the oil still in the can while it sat upside down in my drain pan for about an hour.

The 3325 you're talking about, I bet that's the equivalent of the OEM 90915-YZZF1 which is slightly longer that the stock Prius 90915-YZZF2. It appears the dealers started using that larger filter on Prius' as well, I noticed one on mine a couple years ago when it came back from dealer service. That's the same filter that's on the 4 cyl RAV4's which I also have. I thought about going that route but ultimately went the "don't fix it if it ain't broke" route.

Don't bother for me. I wanted to see how it fits on the end cap and baseplate. I can wait till I cut mine, and anyway I don't think I will be buying them again. The longer one is safe to use, especially if extending drains. TRD makes some nice filters for Toyotas.

Just shy of 10k miles, not kilometers. I was surprised too, while I've run all my Bosch filters to 10k without problems I at least expected to see more waves in the pleats. Maybe the Prius is easy on filters. My driving is 80% freeway and never any true cold starts.
