This is an O'Reilly MicroGard filter for a 1999 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan. The filter was in service for 5000 miles with 5w20 Mobil 5k conventional. The car has 195,000 miles on it.

The pleats were intact, the end caps were tight, the ADV was pliable and in good condition. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I bought several M5k oil change specials last year and was curious about how the MicroGard was holding up. Based on this one sample, it looks fine for 5000 miles.

That application is a Champ Labs E-core. Many of the domestic application filters were E-core like this one. Thanks for the pics!!

Filter looks good. It can be used for 8-10k miles or more OCI in a clean engine. I did try OCOD for 2 OCI's of 6-7k miles in my LS400 few years ago, nothing happened.

That looks like a Super Tech or even a E Core A/C Delco.

You know if you get a good deal and change your oil each 3K miles Im sure that filter will be more then good enough.
