Happy New Year to you all!

My wife and I have hundreds and hundreds of books, and are both committed to "thinning the herd" a bit.

Some of the books to given away include fiction, general history, military history, and repair manuals for cars I no longer own.

I am glad to send any books anyone wants for the cost of shipping.

If there's any interest, I'll post titles and perhaps cover shots.

If I don't hear back from anyone, I'll donate the books to the Children's Hospital book sale.

A listing of available car repair manuals will be interesting.

Do you have one which covers the Mrs.' 2019 Mazda CX-5?
Unfortunately not - I do have some for older Mazdas (including likely an ancient Haynes Manual for the 1st-gen RWD GLC), but nothing recent.

One that I probably won't be able to part with is Most Miles Per Gallon, which taught me how to do a tune-up way back when. Plugs, points, timing, idle speed and mixture ... very good book, though very out-of-date now.

Do you have any Michael Crichton? I would happily pay shipping. It's my fave author.

This one, for sure, and perhaps others.

I got rid of most of my books two years ago. My town has a leave a book, take a book library. I kept classics and so called "red-flag books" by certain folks on the internet. In case my wife ever stumbles upon such a list and checks my bookshelf, she'll realize she's been married to an axe murderer all these years. LOL.

We have a number of private leave-a-book/take-a-book little free libraries. We've donated a number of books, but sometimes come back with more than we left.

I don't know if "Little Free Library" operates where you are but if so they might want some. Perhaps churches for their youth/fellowship centers? Used bookstores often want books and will pay a bit for them. Once they've chosen and paid for what they want they will often relieve you of others if given free when they wouldn't opt to pay for them. Good luck with your project.

Yes, there are three little free libraries within easy walking distance, so we can dole out books there gradually (so as to not swamp them).

I suspect we'll donate the rest to the Children's Hospital bookmark. Books can be dropped off at any fire station year-round.

Ah, never enough books. My wife is a Charter School Librarian and is always looking for books. Even though her school buys new books for her library, she introduces very good examples of donated ones that are age appropriate. I built her 4 bookcases in her home office several years ago. All are very large and full of books too. My son's Boy Scouts Eagle project was building and planting 4 Little Free Library(ies) around our small city. He had them all registered and plaqued with Little Free Library, then turned them over to the city to manage. There are constantly books in them and have been for the past 10 years. Residents can donate large amounts of books at our Public Works Dept. Police Dept. or any Fire Station.
