Paid good money to have my pickup repaired. Im underneath it today and see that all the spots where they welded pins to pull dents out are bare of paint on the inside of the panel. Shouldn’t they have painted that? Wont it rust immediately?
Thats kind of my thinking also…there are multiple spots down the bedside, but your mind and mine are the same. It's underneath and out of site, I would just paint it myself. To me, it's less of a hassle than taking it back and leaving it again.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.I would definitely clean it with alcohol then put 2-3 coats of self etching primer, let it dry overnight then spray some Noxudol 300 everywhere it was repaired. They burned through the E-coat welding the pins, it will rust in that area quicker than a toupee in a fan factory.

I use that and zero worries those will rust if they did not get water on them. Also Fluid Film works too IF you spray twice or dab twice after 3 hour dry time between coats. Fluid Film even takes car washes once it some what dries. As long as it is not in a high load area for the car wash brushes. Nothing beats CRC Marine though.Wipe it down with alcohol and spray it with CRC Marine cosmoline spay . Save yourself the hassle of going back and forth with shop .
