I dropped 2 bags of clothes to a small Goodwill near our house... I noticed 4 fat tires and wheels that someone dropped off; or should I say dumped there. 225/40/ZR18. 3 Series maybe? I can take them. They are not perfect but must be worth a lot? Conti tires. Lemme know if you are interested.

If I had a BMW and was local I'd snatch those up immediately. I'd throw them on FB or whomever is the go to place. You'd likely make a decent profit.

I'd imagine that once they're dropped off they're property of GoodWill. If that's the case, you'd be stealing from them.
Those are the property of Goodwill now. What do you mean, "I can take them"?

Edit: @rijndael and I posted at the same time.
Goodwill doesn't want them. They were dumped at front door overnight. They told me I could take them.
I was thinking of putting them on my MP3 as protection from the evil doers...

Will they fit your Tesla? I didn't think that BMW and Tesla wheels would have the same bolt pattern or offset. Sometimes goodwill literally doesn't know what stuff is worth. This is odd.

I was joking. I was not to fond of the new M3P wheels but they have grown on me. 18" wheels would offer another 40 miles of range, or so. And a softer ride maybe? Both are 5 lug, but that's all I know.

Oh, man! If they were 19x9, I'd have you grab them for me, and I'd pay you for shipping them.

I'm watching for a set of BMW wheels to put winter wheels on, for my X5.

Have you checked out your local pull n pay? Flat price on everything. The one near me had several sets of rim/tires.

Goodwill doesn't accept auto parts, which is a good thing, because it would clutter their stores. Imagine how long a water pump for a 1987 Chevy Spectrum would sit around.

I've come out ahead, except for my time, busting tires off rims then disposing/using them separately. Good on OP for paying it forward.

Style 189, 8 x 18 (34mm offset) and 8.5 x 18 (37mm), most commonly seen in the U.S. as OE the E92 coupe.

I'm not sure about the very latest, but BMW has been pretty consistent with a 5x120 bolt circle since leaving the 4x100 behind.

What does change in the center bore, more commonly 72.5mm (nominally, but actually 72.56) , but the bigger models have gone larger at times.

The offset varies more frequently, depending on wheel width and chassis application.

Free wheels are nice, but the hassle in situations like this is getting rid of the tires, which unless DIY involves paying someone to dismount and dispose of the tires.

I haven't. Perhaps I should, but I have rarely seen European lux cars in my local pull a part places, so I haven't bothered. I've always assumed that most Euro lux cars get bought by salvage yards that specialize in that market, and I'm not aware of any in the Northern Utah area.

That would definitely be a good way to go. The local pull a part that I use charges $35/wheel + $8.25 core. Hard to beat.
